Celebrating Beauty: What’s Your Favorite Piece Of Music?

Sick of the 24-hour news cycle of natural disasters, rapes, and terrorist attacks?

Than you’ve come to the right place.

The point of Celebrating Beauty is just that: celebrate beauty. Point out the good in the world. Show that, yes, life is worth living.

Imagine: You are part of a team of NASA scientists who have just discovered an alien civilization. In order to make a peaceful First Contact, your team is tasked with sending a probe filled with examples of human culture to the aliens’ planet, in order to give the aliens some idea of who we are as a species. You are the head of the Music Department: The department that chooses what pieces of music best represent humanity.

So, question: What is your favorite piece of music?

Mine is: “Obstacles,” by Syd Matters:

    1. Thank you for sharing this song with me.

I admit, it wasn’t my cup of tea — it was hard to understand the lyrics — but I’m glad it’s important to you: Everyone needs that one song that brightens their day, and I’m glad you’ve found yours. Plus, I’m sure there will come a day where I’ll enjoy this song more: my tastes today aren’t the same as they were, for example, a year ago.

Thank you, too, for following my blog.

As you probably have noticed, one of the subjects I write about on this blog is nudity — whether physical or emotional — and so I was glad to find someone who has similar thoughts on nudity.

Like you, I’m just trying to figure out my life, my desires, and my relationship with God.

Thank you for being a part of my journey by following my blog.
